The Australian Government has made further workplace laws as part of its ‘Closing Loopholes’ changes. These build on initial changes that were introduced in December 2023. We have invited the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) to outline these changes and their impact on surveying firms. 1 SP is available for attendees apon completion of the relevant questionnaire.

  • The Australian Government has passed more workplace law changes as part of its ‘Closing Loopholes’ changes.
  • The legislation (a set of laws) introduces new rules and changes some existing laws.
  • The changes take effect at various times across the next year and into 2025.
  • Some changes affect the work we do (the Fair Work Ombudsman).
  • Other changes affect the work of the Fair Work Commission (the Commission). The Commission is the national workplace relations tribunal and registered organisations regulator.

Our third course module 'Designing for Water & Sewer' is taking place online, featuring a 3-hour session with Brian Corregan and Steve Sampson.

Engineering Design is a significant portion of the Surveyor Registration process but it is an area that is constantly changing – both in the Sydney basin and the regions.
