James Fitzpatrick has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Consulting Surveyors Victoria (CSV), commencing 24 November 2025.
James brings extensive experience in professional association leadership, government engagement, member value creation and digital transformation. His background spans high‑impact roles across the allied health, community and digital sectors, with a strong record of strengthening membership organisations through strategy, advocacy and operational excellence.
At CSV, James will focus on:
- Strengthening member engagement and value
- Advancing advocacy on behalf of the surveying profession
- Enhancing relationships with government, regulators and industry
- Supporting workforce capability and professional development
- Building a strong and future‑ready operational foundation
President Michael Degg welcomed the appointment:

James said he is honoured to join the organisation:
