Surveyors Australia’s submission has been published as part of the Fair Work Commission’s Review of Degree-Qualified Professional Classifications in Modern Awards.
We ask that the Surveying Award 2010 (MA000066) be included in scope, with degree-qualified roles benchmarked at C1(a) and diploma-qualified roles examined for consistency with C10.
The submission summarises remuneration evidence showing Award minimums lag market salaries, and sets out broader workforce impacts including the ongoing skills shortage projected to 2032.
It also recommends independent economic modelling to support sustainable industry transition.
