Surveyors Australia at FIG Working Week 2025 in Brisbane

Monday 07, Apr 2025

As Platinum Sponsor, Surveyors Australia was proud to represent Australia’s surveying profession on the global stage — representing over 600 member firms across Australia. From licensing insights and professional standards to education, innovation, and business growth, we were excited to connect with so many at our stand, and across key sessions.

Representatives from Surveyors Australia, along with our partner organisations and member firms, actively participated in a range of sessions throughout the week.

Our CEO
Michelle Blicavs, discussed the profession’s critical role in advancing sustainability through practical leadership and action. We were pleased to share information about the Surveyors Australia Sustainability Tool Kit, built in collaboration with SDG Align and C.R.Kennedy & Company - Geospatial Division

Cathy from Consulting Surveyors NSW highlighted the important vision of Surveying Careers, and how they are driving awareness, attracting, and engaging the next generation of young surveyors.

Peta Cox, Industry Training Alliance RTO #46181 National Training Manager, delivered an empowering session on supporting and inspiring the next generation of surveyors, while sharing information about ITA's activities in offering vocational education for Surveyors.

Mark Scanlon and Craig Turner shared their experiences during the 'Special Focus on Business' Sessions on Tuesday, discussing company culture, health, well-being, and much more.

A sincere thank you to our incredible partners and supporters who helped bring our presence to life. Together, we’re shaping a vibrant, resilient future for the surveying profession in Australia and beyond.

Since FIG Working Week took place last week, the Consulting Surveyors NSW office has had a few international friends popping in to discuss how surveying works here and to visit the beauty of Sydney, NSW!

We showcased Survey Marks in Millers Point, toured the
Beveridge Williams office and enjoyed Vegemite on Toast and a Lamington on Hickson Wharf.
