Tom Casey (Casey Surveying & Design at Parkes) and Michelle Blicavs talked to James Valentine's ABC radio program on 6 September about the EISSI Awards and the role of surveyors in the development of infrastructure and construction.

When asked about the importance of surveyors, Michelle said, "The Surveyor was the first role appointed in the colony of NSW and without surveyors, we wouldn’t have all of the development you see around you today. Currently, pressure comes from the number of projects in the pipeline in NSW and the general shortage of surveyors to do the work. If a surveyor isn’t available to come on site, it delays the project.”
