Whilst the Northern Territory has only 1% of the total Surveying profession, it is still a huge contributor and the firms key members within the Association.
Like all other jurisdictions, the Territory is facing a significant skills shortage. But the firms, mostly based in Darwin, are active in their communities and are attracting more young local people to the profession.
Surveying is different in NT with huge distances to travel and islands off the coast needing surveying. But at their core, they are surveyors the same as those in the bigger states over east.
We are pleased to hold events here each quarter – find the next event here.
And our Surveyors Academy received it’s first funding in the NT, thanks to Industry Skills Council of the Northern Territory. This has helped us connect with surveyors in mines and engineering firms and we look forward to expanding our membership in the NT and holding more events and opportunities to connect.
