The History of CSNSW

Consulting Surveyors NSW was established in 1969, by a group of business leaders who wanted to ensure profitable and vibrant surveying businesses into the future. These leaders, gathered to ensure that the voice of surveyors was held in the halls of parliament. Since then, our membership has grown to include over 200 surveying firms in NSW. Following over 50 years of growth as an association, we strive to ensure the future and longevity of our industry and the Association.

Through CSNSW's mission, we will see more students choosing surveying as a profession, increasing the number of surveyors available for our member firms. Our mission will ensure new surveying firms are established and current firms are expanding. Our mission will ensure our leading firms have a voice in the halls of government for the longevity of their organisations and the profession.

In 1999, CSNSW founded AusSearch, a project to provision accurate Surveying documents, reinvesting all profits back into the surveying profession. AusSearch provides searching services that benefit Surveyors, Certifiers, Architects, Conveyancers, and other professionals in the building, property, and legal industry.

More background information can be found in the History of ACS NSW 1969-2010.
